Motion to Consolidate All Mirena Lawsuits is Filed

Federally Filed Mirena Lawsuits

NastLaw, LLC. reports that a petition for consolidation of all federally filed Mirena lawsuits has been filed. Attorneys for NastLaw, based in center city Philadelphia with national practice, say that these petitions are generally known as request for transfer and to consolidate multidistrict litigation (MDL). If granted the JPML court would transfer all federal Mirena injury cases to a single United States District Court. It is expected that a number of other petitions will be filed.

The decision on whether and where to transfer the Mirena cases will be made by the Panel for Multidistrict Litigation in the next several months, after hearing oral argument in San Diego in March.

NastLaw has filed multiple cases in federal courts involving Mirena IUD injuries.

These personal injury cases generally involve claims that defendants failed to disclose the true risks of Mirena perforation of the uterine wall, embedding of the device in the uterine wall, and Mirena migration of the device and the risk of ectopic pregnancies.

NastLaw, LLC represents numerous women who have been injured by the Mirena IUD and is investigating many other Mirena injuries.
